Job Overview

Variosystems Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to become a vital member of our Accounting team. In this role, you will oversee the comprehensive management of accounts payable functions, ensuring that all invoices are processed accurately and promptly while fostering positive relationships with our vendors.

Core Responsibilities
  • Manage a substantial volume of vendor invoices through the 3-way matching process
  • Accurately code and record non-PO invoices
  • Reconcile vendor statements on a monthly basis and resolve any discrepancies
  • Process monthly credit card transactions by matching receipts with corresponding entries
  • Collaborate with various departments to address and resolve invoice and receiving issues
  • Prepare and execute weekly payment cycles, including both electronic payments and checks
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies
  • Assist other accounting and finance functions as necessary
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly in manufacturing
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and rectify discrepancies
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable with expertise in 3-way matching
