Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care in Avera@Home Yankton's patient-focused settings. This role requires a skilled and compassionate nurse to utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality care for patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to provide nursing care for patients following the ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice.
  • Assume responsibility for the outcome of nursing care provided to patients in their homes or in facilities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional care for the population served.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • License as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure is required.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota may be required depending on the service area. If required, must obtain within 90 days of being placed in the position or of the requirement.
  • This position requires a valid driver's license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.

Work Schedule

  • 8:00am-5:00pm with wknd/hol/call rotation; 72hrs/2wks
  • Weekend rotation: every 5-7 weekend
  • Holiday rotation: 1-2 holidays per year
  • Call rotation: 1-2 week nights a month

Compensation

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
