Expected Compensation: $3,392.31 bi-weekly
POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Services Supervisor (CSS) operates under the direct oversight of the Health Center Manager and the indirect clinical guidance of Nursing Administration. This role encompasses licensed nursing responsibilities within the defined scope of practice, ensuring the effective management of back-office clinical operations and performance. The CSS is instrumental in maintaining and utilizing medical and laboratory equipment, assisting in patient care, and executing physically demanding tasks. Collaboration with the Health Center Manager is essential to achieve clinic productivity objectives while ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction and quality care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage in patient population management, considering cultural sensitivities and local resources while applying Evidence-Based Practice guidelines for disease management.
- Oversee patient flow management in the clinic, ensuring timely rooming and care for patients.
- Assist in patient rooming, taking vital signs, and providing treatment as directed by the healthcare provider, adhering to LVN scope of practice.
- Monitor and document patient symptoms and progress, reporting findings to the healthcare provider.
- Administer medications and immunizations as instructed by the provider within the LVN scope of practice.
- Coordinate with the Care Team to ensure patients receive appropriate services to meet their care objectives.
- Educate patients and families, develop pre-visit checklists, and facilitate team huddles.
- Document all care coordination activities accurately in the medical record.
- Track and compile outstanding test results and coordinate notifications with support staff as necessary.
- Maintain and operate medical and laboratory equipment, assisting providers during patient examinations and treatments.
- Collaborate with the Quality Improvement Department to adhere to federal and state regulations.
- Conduct clinic audits and manage laboratory and medication compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in staff meetings and ongoing nursing reviews.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external consumers.
- Demonstrate professionalism in patient communications and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
- Exhibit cultural sensitivity and competence in patient interactions.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES
This position entails indirect clinical supervision of back-office staff, including medical assistants, under the authorization of licensed healthcare providers. The CSS will mentor and train back-office personnel, assist in scheduling, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates will possess the following:
- Graduation from an accredited LVN program and a current LVN license issued by the State of California.
- A minimum of two years of recent experience in ambulatory care is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and EHR systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds and assisting patients with mobility. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is typically a clinic setting with moderate noise levels. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and electrical risks. Flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
