Medical Assistant/LPN for Primary Care

Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Marysville, OH. As a Medical Assistant/LPN, you will be part of a team that strives to deliver exceptional primary care.

This is a full-time role working 3-3.5 days per week. Hours are 8:00am-6:00pm Monday and Tuesday, and 8:00am-5:00pm Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the clinical care team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Foster a climate of open communication between the care team, patient/caregiver, and healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with other care team members to address gaps in care and promote improved clinical outcomes.
  • Act as a patient advocate to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Perform routine medical procedures, including blood draws and specimen processing.
  • Prepare patients and treatment rooms for exams.
  • Review physician orders and lab requests, and follow up as needed.
  • Communicate test results to patients as directed.
  • Assist with patient education and maintain a clean and well-organized work area.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care, and examination procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and document efficiently in electronic health records.
  • Knowledge of vaccine administration, storage, handling, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Ohio RN/LPN licensure.
