Job Title: Executive Advisor

The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to provide executive-level support for the development and implementation of the Kentucky Medical Cannabis Program (KMCP). This pivotal role involves developing public outreach goals, aligning them with the KMCP mission, and ensuring that law enforcement is well-informed and prepared to engage with the medical cannabis program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement education and outreach initiatives tailored to law enforcement.
  • Align education and outreach goals with the mission and objectives of the KMCP.
Research and Policy Development:
  • Conduct research on relevant education and training programs to identify best practices and tactics for law enforcement education in the context of medical cannabis.
  • Participate in policy development, ensuring that educational strategies are in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Evaluation and Recommendations:
  • Evaluate existing industry education training programs and provide data-driven recommendations to support continuous quality improvement for law enforcement education.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of educational initiatives and recommend adjustments as needed to enhance program outcomes.
Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Deliver presentations and conduct training sessions for law enforcement agencies, industry partners, and other stakeholders to ensure widespread understanding and compliance with KMCP regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison between CHFS, other state and federal agencies, and partners to coordinate and enhance the law enforcement education aspect of the KMCP.
Program Coordination:
  • Plan and coordinate law enforcement education programs, operations, and functions related to medical cannabis, ensuring seamless collaboration across organizational lines within CHFS and other relevant entities.
  • Oversee the logistics of education and outreach activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and communication with key stakeholders.
