We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team at the State of California. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist licensed staff in consumer treatment programs
- Perform related work following established standards and procedures
- Interact with consumers on a daily basis
- Work in a clinical nursing environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and medicinal preparations
- Completion of a Psychiatric Technician training program accredited by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, and walking
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
