Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Air Conditioning Technology courses at our institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans for Air Conditioning Technology courses, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and industry best practices.
  • Assess student learning through various methods, including quizzes, exams, and projects, and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators, responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Air Conditioning Technology from an accredited post-secondary institution or equivalent.
  • Three (3) out of the past seven (7) years of field experience in Air Conditioning Technology.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An associate degree or higher in Air Conditioning Technology or a related field.
  • Industry certification in Air Conditioning Technology.
  • Teaching experience at the post-secondary level.

Salary and Benefits:

  • $ per contact hour.
  • All adjunct positions are part-time, temporary positions. Hours are offered based on student enrollment each semester.
  • Adjunct positions do not include benefits or a promise of future full-time employment.

Adjunct Pool applications are for the current academic year, and a new application is required each academic year. Adjuncts are paid on a per-contact-hour basis. All courses are face-to-face unless otherwise indicated.
