About the Role

Our operations team is expanding, and we are seeking simulation drivers to manage our test vehicles and gather data during our AM (6:00am to 2:30pm) or PM (2:00pm to 10:30pm) shifts. This role offers the chance to collaborate with our skilled robotics and software engineers to propel our technological advancements and shape our future product initiatives.

About the Work

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Safely operating Nuro test vehicles equipped for standard drivers for up to 8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week on public residential roads in various weather conditions.
  • Riding as a passenger in our vehicles to document significant observations clearly.
  • Collecting data and troubleshooting in diverse real-world scenarios while providing detailed feedback to our engineering team.
  • Conducting daily vehicle pre-inspections before departing from the facility.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A valid US driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
  • A clean driving record and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Availability to work consistently through weekends.
  • Responsibility, dependability, and keen attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently or in small teams without direct supervision.
  • The capacity to sit and drive for extended periods with regular breaks.
  • A passion for new technology and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
  • Flexibility and willingness to occasionally work different shifts (AM, PM, weekend) as required.
  • A readiness to travel domestically as needed (up to 25%).
  • Data entry and fast typing skills are advantageous.
