We are looking for a Senior Estimator who will take charge of generating precise and competitive cost assessments for substantial construction initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Generate comprehensive and precise cost assessments for heavy civil construction initiatives, encompassing highways, bridges, and environmental undertakings.
  • Examine project blueprints, specifications, and associated documents to ascertain scope and requirements.
  • Conduct quantity takeoffs, cost evaluations, and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Work in tandem with project managers and engineering teams to collect and review project data.
  • Draft and submit bid proposals, ensuring adherence to all stipulations and timelines.
  • Assess subcontractor and supplier bids, negotiate costs, and select vendors to maximize project efficiency.
  • Perform cost analyses to uncover potential savings and value engineering alternatives.
  • Establish and maintain cost databases, historical cost records, and estimating tools to improve accuracy and productivity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and field personnel, to guarantee realistic and precise estimates.
  • Keep meticulous records of estimates, bid proposals, and correspondence related to bidding activities.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on estimating operations, bid outcomes, and project cost performance for senior leadership.

Qualifications for the Senior Estimator Position

  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, particularly with heavy civil projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, cost estimation methodologies, and industry benchmarks.
  • Demonstrated experience in crafting detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for large-scale initiatives.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical capabilities, with proficiency in interpreting complex project data and specifications.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
