About the Role:

The Senior Perioperative Services Manager will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the nursing care provided to patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures. This includes evaluating current practices through quality and performance improvement measures, demonstrating effective communication and collaboration skills with the perioperative team and stakeholders, and operationally managing the perioperative services department.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical expertise and support to perioperative services staff members, utilizing evidence-based knowledge and prevailing standards.
  2. Quality Improvement: Evaluate current practices and implement quality and performance improvement measures to ensure optimal patient care.
  3. Communication and Collaboration: Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills with the perioperative team and other stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  4. Operational Management: Manage the perioperative services department, including coordinating, facilitating, and managing change within the health care organization.
  5. Team Collaboration: Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care and use effective conflict resolution techniques.
  6. Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to perioperative services to facilitate collaboration and negotiation with stakeholders.
  7. Staff Development: Participate in interviews for staff selection and assist in evaluating staff member performance.
  8. Professional Development: Serve as a role model of professional behavior and demonstrate clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
Requirements:
  • Clinical Expertise: Graduate of an approved school of nursing and currently licensed in the state.
  • Experience: One-year experience required in an intra-operative setting, with advanced life support certification.
  • Physical and Emotional Demands: Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
Estimated Salary:

$70,000 - $90,000 per year.
