We are seeking a skilled Transportation Technician to join our team at First Student. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
- Complete work orders and troubleshoot issues needing repair
- Assist with mobile emergency services and provide support to our drivers
- 5 years of experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles
- Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a CDL (training provided)
- Mechanic's tool set and basic hand tools
- ASE testing and certification a plus
- $31.25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- ASE incentive of $0.25/hour for each relevant ASE obtained
- Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm full-time shift
- Annual allowances for boots and prescription safety glasses
