About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Systems department, based in Denver, Colorado. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting our core product systems, which handle essential functions such as bet placement and settlements, Cash Out, and editing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing High-Performance Solutions: Design and implement low-latency, highly available, and scalable solutions that process high volumes of transactions.
  • Concurrent Distributed Components: Create and maintain concurrent distributed components that ensure the resilience and stability of our systems.
  • Code Base Enhancement: Support and enhance the existing code base, ensuring it remains efficient, scalable, and secure.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Perform thorough root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues that cause fault reoccurrence.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and performance of our systems through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to support team members' professional development and growth.
  • Technical Improvement: Identify areas for technical improvement and contribute to solution proposals to enhance our systems.
  • Work Effort Estimation: Create accurate work effort estimates to ensure project timelines are met.

Requirements
  • Commercial Experience: Commercial experience in programming, including Go or Erlang.
  • Server-Side Development: Extensive experience in server-side development, including services, systems, messaging, and middleware.
  • Complex Architecture: Ability to understand and work with complex architecture.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coach and mentor technical subject areas.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Academic Background: Strong academic background, ideally with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in an IT-related field or relevant industry experience.
  • Google Cloud Platform: Exposure to Google Cloud Platform.
