As a Senior Technical Manager in our stormwater team, you will play a pivotal role in guiding technical excellence, project management, and training while contributing to the success of our stormwater initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive drainage evaluations and stormwater management studies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead the preparation of construction plans for flood risk reduction and channel improvement projects, ensuring high-quality design and documentation.
  • Utilize engineering software and tools for design and documentation, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Open Roads, Stormwater Modeling, and GIS.
  • Visit construction sites to monitor progress and perform contract duties, ensuring timely completion and quality control.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight, ensuring high-quality stormwater design and production, and developing best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Plan project timelines, track progress, and manage milestones effectively, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope and devise contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
  • Define project success criteria and communicate them clearly to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members, fostering trust and unity within the project team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM).
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Open Roads, Stormwater Modeling, and GIS.
  • Proven experience in stormwater management and infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and permitting processes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Municipal stormwater experience in Texas, with familiarity with TxDOT drainage preferred.
