Our clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, offering a balanced work-life schedule with no weekend, night, or holiday shifts required. This part-time role requires a commitment of 20 hours per week, allowing you to enhance your nursing skills in a supportive atmosphere.

The LPN position is designed to integrate practical skills and theoretical knowledge to address the needs of patients and their families. In this role, you will assist the healthcare team in promoting health, preventing illness, and ensuring patient comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and accurately document direct, age-appropriate care to patients based on medical directives and a comprehensive care plan.
  • Safely administer prescribed medications while recognizing potential interactions and contraindications.
  • Provide guidance and education to patients and their families, fostering a collaborative healthcare environment.
  • Begin to take on leadership responsibilities within the unit, contributing to a cohesive team dynamic.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a current LPN license in Virginia and hold an AHA BLS Certification or an equivalent credential.

Experience:

Required: Varies based on transitional duty assignment.

Preferred: Previous experience as an LPN in an acute care setting or relevant area of practice.

Education:

Required: Graduation from a Board of Nursing approved School of Practical Nursing.

Physical and Emotional Requirements:

As an LPN, you will engage in various physical activities, including lifting, prolonged standing, and frequent bending. The role demands strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
