Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting the Chief, Education and Training in administering the education and training programs, providing technical guidance and assistance to managers and supervisors within unit organizations on all aspects of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assists the Chief, Education and Training in implementation and administration of Air Force policies for the AF Voluntary Education Programs.
  • Administers diversified Air Force testing program. Formal Schools. Plans, directs, organizes, and coordinates operations of the Advance Distributed Learning, and multimedia education and training programs.
  • Responsible for overall management OJT program for the wing.
  • Monitors the overall accuracy and reliability of all data entered into and maintained in Military Personnel Data System (MilPDS) and Education and Training Systems.
Requirements

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems.

Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of military personnel policies, Reserve mission, training methods and programs, policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, publications, etc., to understand respective programs and converse with functional managers.

Must have sufficient knowledge of the automated systems, personal computers, and software employed, in order to make reports, correspondence, and extract data.

Must possess ability to analyze data/products to determine adequacy of training programs and/or deficiencies thereof.

Education

Applicants must have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B.

or J.D. in a field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position.

Additional Information

This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements standards.

The incumbent's regular assignments are ART duties; however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities.

Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTA).

The incumbent may be required to fly in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments (TDY).

Position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance as designated for this position.
