About the Role

Pacific Coast Speech, A member of the Point Quest Group, is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in an elementary school setting. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating language and speech disorders in children from birth to 22 years old.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students' level of functioning and ability to communicate.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with classroom teachers and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Provide direct and indirect services to students, including instruction, consultation, and support to families and guardians.
  • Collect and analyze data on student progress, and prepare reports and service logs using data management systems.
Requirements
  • California Speech Pathologist license (SLP) or eligible for a CA preliminary RPE license; and/or California Speech-Language Services Credential or eligible for a CA preliminary credential.
  • Experience in school-based settings preferred; willingness to mentor and support colleagues.
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance required.
  • Computer-literate with knowledge of special education computer programs.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, excellent organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficient written and verbal English language communication skills.

Work Environment

Pacific Coast Speech, A member of the Point Quest Group, is committed to providing a safe and inclusive work environment. The Speech Language Pathologist will work in an elementary school setting, with occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes. The position requires frequent reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, running, carrying, and lifting 50 or more lbs.

The noise intensity level is moderate to high.
