Procurement Specialist

The Senior Buyer plays a critical role in driving efficient cost decisions and maintaining a sustainable supply chain at Wilson Workforce Solutions, LLC. This position is responsible for procuring materials, supplies, services, and MRO, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies in collaboration with Planning and Production to define ordering requirements.
• Track and manage inventory levels to meet business needs, including developing and managing reports and KPIs.
• Gather market intelligence to analyze market trends, identify new suppliers, and mitigate risks.
• Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Develop commodity procurement strategies and inventory programs.
• Research, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
• Identify and execute opportunities for cost reductions and process improvement initiatives.
• Negotiate pricing and contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
• Work with all necessary departments to ensure spending budgets are achieved while maintaining necessary stock.
• Maintain procurement records on services and goods purchased, costs, delivery, and inventories.
• Champion procurement reporting and metrics.

• Bachelor's Degree and/or significant experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Procurement ideally in the manufacturing industry.
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and organization.
• Ability to function both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience managing multiple suppliers and assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong critical-thinking skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, especially use of Excel for writing formulas, and pivot tables.
