Job Title: Virtual Sign Language Interpreter for K-12 Virtual Classrooms

Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to support communication in virtual classrooms for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience working with K-12 students.

Responsibilities:

* Interpret for virtual classrooms, ensuring clear communication between students and teachers
* Develop and maintain relationships with students, teachers, and school administrators
* Collaborate with the education team to ensure seamless integration of sign language services

Requirements:

* 3.5-4.0 EIPA or RID, ESSE-I/R assessment, or NAD/ACCI assessment
* Active Virginia State SLI License
* Previous school experience required; virtual interpreting experience highly preferred

1. Initial Screening: 10-15 minute call with a VocoVision recruiter
2. Tech Evaluation: 15-minute technical screening
3. Virtual Interview: 20-30 minute session with the school district
