Biology Instructor

Germanna Community College is seeking qualified adjunct faculty members to teach Biology courses in-person at our Fredericksburg, Stafford, and Locust Grove campus locations.

As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.

• Teach Biology courses in-person at our campus locations
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
• Provide individualized support and feedback to students
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

• Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the specific discipline
• Official transcripts required prior to final offer
• Ability to demonstrate the use of relevant technology and learning management systems
• Commitment to student engagement and virtual support mechanisms
• Technology capability to teach remotely
• Ability to teach in a variety of modalities, including virtually

• Prior teaching experience
• Work experience in the field
• Experience with online teaching
• Substantial experience with innovative teaching and developing online courses
