About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Home Health Aide to join our team at Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with personal and oral hygiene, including bathing, hair and skin care, and backrubs
  • Accurately take and record vital signs
  • Safely assist patients with transfers to bed, chair, and commode
  • Perform range of motion exercises and required turning and positioning for bed-bound patients
  • Record intake and output (I&O) accurately
  • Follow bowel/bladder training programs and provide incontinence care
  • Administer tepid sitz baths and assist with medication administration
  • Use hoyer lifts safely and effectively
  • Prepare patient meals and assist with feeding
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition or family situation
  • Participate in in-service education programs and meetings
Requirements
  • Current NJ Board of Nursing Home Health Aide Certification
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self-starter with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a $18.00 per hour rate with a $1.00 weekend shift differential. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our patients and their families.
