Northwestern Medicine is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist-Imaging Casual Days to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of providing world-class healthcare.
Responsibilities- Obtain complete patient histories for radiologists to assist in rendering results and instruct patients for exams.
- Prepare and administer radioisotopes orally or by injection, positioning patients and equipment according to procedure type.
- Conduct diagnostic scans, review scans with radiologists as needed, and perform scanning of paperwork and PACS duties.
- Receive orders, schedule patients, and coordinate nuclear medicine procedures with other services when necessary.
- Perform equipment quality control and safety procedures, maintain records of radioisotope receipt, use, storage, and disposal, and maintain a clean work area and equipment.
- ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification
- IEMA certification
- BLS through American Heart Association
- 2-3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent
- 1-3 years of related work experience
