The American Society of Hematology is seeking a dedicated and skilled physician to fill a full-time faculty position specializing in Classical Hematology. The ideal candidate will possess a robust interest and background in both clinical and translational research.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Providing consultations on the Hematology service.
- Delivering outpatient care and managing long-term treatment for patients with hematological disorders.
- Educating and mentoring fellows, residents, and medical students in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Leading and engaging in clinical and translational research initiatives.
Support for clinical and translational research is available through the organization’s Shared Services and Clinical Research Office, with opportunities for collaboration with basic and translational scientists strongly encouraged.
Candidates must hold an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree, have completed fellowship training in Hematology, and be board-certified in Internal Medicine, as well as board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology. A valid medical license is required. Applicants should demonstrate exceptional skills in clinical practice, education, and research. The expected faculty rank for this position is Assistant Professor or higher, with final rank and compensation based on the selected candidate's qualifications.
