Pediatric Hospitalist Clinical Faculty Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist Clinical Faculty to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive medical care to critically ill children with a wide range of medical, surgical, oncologic, and hematologic diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide physician medical management to patients in the Charlotte Bloomberg Children's Hospital PICU with an emphasis on the management of patients with hematological and oncologic diseases.
  • Obtain patients' histories, examine patients, order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, determine diagnoses, and implement appropriate treatment.
  • Monitor patients' condition and progress, reevaluate treatments as necessary, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Collaborate with the PICU team and staff of other services to coordinate and optimize care and maximize efficiency.
  • Participate in the teaching program of the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, conduct research, and engage in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Board certification in pediatrics and pediatric hematology and oncology.
  • Licensure to practice medicine and prescribe pharmaceuticals in the State of Maryland.
  • Strong research background in pediatric basic and clinical science, with a demonstrated commitment to pediatric bone marrow transplantation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
