POSITION OVERVIEW

Accountable for delivering a comprehensive range of financial services, including the initiation and termination of accounts, renewing time deposits, and providing assistance to clients regarding account inquiries, maintenance, and issue resolution. Collaborates with the Teller Supervisor to develop, train, and inspire lobby staff to effectively support customers and promote bank products and services. Possesses fundamental knowledge of basic deposit and loan offerings. Identifies sales and referral opportunities, aiming to achieve associated targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Ensures the proficient and professional execution of financial service functions.
  • Communicates and clarifies Bank products and services to clients, assisting them in fulfilling their financial requirements, which includes managing checking, savings, time deposit, and individual retirement accounts, as well as handling safe deposit boxes, savings bonds, credit cards, and basic consumer loans.
  • Addresses inquiries and resolves issues for clients by actively listening, gathering information, and providing solutions.
  • Analyzes client profiles to uncover sales opportunities.
  • Employs lead lists and other strategies to cultivate methods for generating additional business.
Maintains effective and professional business relationships with clients.
  • Responds to client requests and inquiries promptly, courteously, and professionally.
  • Processes new client accounts and modifications to existing accounts, such as name changes, address updates, product adjustments, and other account maintenance as needed.
  • Safeguards the confidentiality of customer account information.
  • Upholds and promotes the Bank's professional image.
Facilitates effective coordination and collaboration with area personnel and management.
  • Provides assistance to area personnel as necessary.
  • Keeps the Banking Center Manager updated on area activities and significant issues.
  • Accurately and promptly completes required reports and records.
  • Participates in meetings and training sessions that may occur on weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends.
  • Oversees annual year-end reporting and special projects relevant to the banking center, such as key box audits or safe deposit box key audits.
  • Reviews new account entries and data for accuracy as needed.
  • Supports Treasury Management with new accounts and services for clients.
  • Ensures daily logs are accurately completed and organized at month-end for easy access.
Undertakes related duties as assigned.
  • Actively and professionally promotes Bank products and services, striving to meet sales production objectives.
  • Performs associated clerical tasks as required.
  • Ensures that workspaces are clean, secure, and well-maintained.
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
  1. Financial service functions are executed efficiently, effectively, and accurately in line with established policies, standards, and security protocols.
  2. Strong business relationships are maintained with clients, with inquiries and issues resolved courteously and promptly.
  3. Positive working relationships and coordination are fostered with area personnel and management, providing appropriate support to area staff as needed.
  4. Required reports and records are accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
  5. Consistently seeks to develop new client relationships while enhancing existing ones by identifying opportunities to promote Bank products and services and achieve sales production targets.
  6. The Bank's professional reputation is upheld and conveyed effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Knowledge:
Solid understanding of financial services and products offered.

Experience Required:
General customer service experience is essential.
Experience as a Personal Banker is preferred.
Prior banking experience is advantageous.

Skills/Abilities:
Exceptional communication and public relations skills.
Professional demeanor and attitude.
Proficient in operating relevant computer applications and business equipment.
Strong math and bookkeeping skills.
