Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage the essential hardware and software infrastructure necessary for effective network defense operations.
  • Continuously monitor the network to identify and mitigate unauthorized activities.
  • Support Information Assurance and the Authority to Operate processes in accordance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines.
  • Design, configure, and test solutions for cyber defense.
  • Administer cyber defense applications and systems, including vulnerability scanning and security information and event management (SIEM) tools, ensuring proper installation, configuration, maintenance, and backup.
  • Maintain and update cyber defense tools and applications in line with security policies and industry best practices.
  • Implement secure configuration management protocols.
  • Document and address the organization's information security architecture and systems security engineering requirements throughout the lifecycle of systems.
  • Assess the effectiveness of security infrastructure and designs.
  • Conduct security reviews, identify vulnerabilities in security architecture, and develop comprehensive risk management strategies.
  • Determine and document the necessary security controls for information systems and networks.
  • Implement RMF Assessment and Authorization requirements for dedicated cyber defense systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Contribute to RMF process activities, including system lifecycle support plans and operational procedures.
  • Create reports and dashboards utilizing government tools.
  • Perform SIEM analysis using government-provided resources.
  • Manage information systems scanning processes with government tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address computer security incidents and ensure compliance with vulnerability management.
  • Support cybersecurity analysis and auditing processes.
  • Develop documentation for Cyber Defense Infrastructure Administration processes and procedures.
Qualifications:

Clearance: US Citizen with SECRET

Certifications: CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, or CSSLP

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: Minimum of 5 years
