Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and shared services teams to define the automated testing strategy and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in test automation within the development team, promoting continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Utilize Java programming skills to execute automated tests, covering various aspects such as database validation, rule engine verification, logging analysis, reporting accuracy, and user interface functionality.
  • Participate actively in Scrum team activities, including story estimation, effort sizing, and integration with Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment, fostering open communication and knowledge sharing throughout the Agile project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in automated test development using Java (or equivalent experience with C++ or C#).
  • Proven expertise in Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD), Behavior Driven Development (Cucumber), Spring and Springboot frameworks, and open-source automation tools such as Selenium/Serenity/Cucumber.
  • Experience with Serenity and/or Cucumber for test automation.
  • Familiarity with various testing phases: Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Understanding of REST/SOAP web services and APIs.
  • Proficiency in SQL querying.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with open-source automated test frameworks (e.g., Serenity, Selenium, Cucumber).
  • Experience using Java development tools (e.g., Eclipse, JUnit, Git).
  • Prior experience with front-end development, including JavaScript frameworks.
  • Background in large-scale Federal IT programs.
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile delivery framework.
  • Active Secret Level Security Clearance.
