Forensic Psychologist

**Job Summary**

Centurion Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychologist to join our team at the Lawrence District Court in Massachusetts. As a Forensic Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing assessment, treatment, and determination of appropriate dispositions for individuals who are mentally ill or have substance use issues and are brought before the Courts on criminal and/or civil matters.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of lawyers, social workers, judges, and other court and hospital staff to provide assessment, treatment, and determination of appropriate dispositions.
• Travel between courts throughout the workday is required.
• Fulfill statutory obligations of the Department of Mental Health, including evaluation of the need for Emergency Hospitalization, Competence to Stand Trial or Criminal Responsibility Screening Evaluations, and determination of the Mental Condition of Witnesses.
• Provide consultation to the court and help to facilitate and coordinate statutory evaluations assigned to colleagues.
• Triage cases and make referrals to community providers and services.

**Requirements:**

• Active licensed Psychologist by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
• Current/valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience working with court-involved criminal defendants preferred.
• Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
