Centurion Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychologist to join our team as a Forensic Court Clinic Psychologist. This is a full-time position that requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, treatment, and determination of appropriate dispositions for individuals who are mentally ill or have substance use issues and are brought before the Courts on criminal and/or civil matters.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, treatment, and determination of appropriate dispositions for individuals who are mentally ill or have substance use issues.
- Travel between courts throughout the workday is required.
- Responsible for fulfilling the statutory obligations of the Department of Mental Health, including evaluation of the need for Emergency Hospitalization, Competence to Stand Trial or Criminal Responsibility Screening Evaluations, and other statutory evaluations.
- Provide consultation to the court and help to facilitate and coordinate statutory evaluations assigned to colleagues.
- Triage cases and make referrals to community providers and services.
- Active licensed Psychologist by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- Current/valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience working with court-involved criminal defendants preferred.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
