We are seeking a skilled Medical Claims Expert to join our team at Midlands Neurology and Pain Associates, P.A.
About the RoleThis is an in-office position that requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in medical billing, including accounts receivable management, claim submission, and payment posting.
Responsibilities- Manage claims denials from insurance companies, ensuring prompt resolution and optimal reimbursement.
- Contact insurance companies regarding unpaid claims, utilizing effective communication skills to resolve issues.
- Correct and resubmit claims to payers, adhering to regulatory guidelines and ensuring accuracy.
- Ongoing review of aging reports to identify reasons for unpaid claims, enabling proactive measures to prevent delays.
- Post payments accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date records.
- Respond to patient billing inquiries, providing clear and concise information to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform various collection actions, including contacting insurances and patients via phone, to recover outstanding amounts.
- Maintain productivity and efficiency, meeting performance goals while effectively utilizing time and resources.
- Communicate billing-related issues with management, providing timely updates and insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Medical Billing Certification
- 3+ years of previous medical collections experience, with general insurance billing practice knowledge required.
- 3-4 years of experience in CPT & ICD-9/10 Coding
- Billing-related background in a physician clinic setting preferred, with experience working on accounts receivable.
- Attention to detail, consistent, productive, able to meet deadlines.
- Able to work in the office, as this is not a remote position.
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
