Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct maintenance activities to ensure that homes and community areas are well-maintained.
  • Complete assigned work orders and communicate progress to the Community Manager in a timely manner.
  • Foster positive relationships by interacting courteously with residents, prospective residents, visitors, and team members.
  • Utilize established protocols to identify issues and take corrective actions with the approval of the Community Manager.
  • Maintain the community grounds, including regular lawn care tasks such as weeding, planting, mulching, and trimming.
  • Manage waste disposal on community grounds, ensuring cleanliness in common areas and individual sites.
  • Perform snow removal duties as required during winter months.
  • Report any residents who do not adhere to waste disposal guidelines to the Community Manager.
  • Keep track of maintenance and grounds equipment and supplies, notifying the Community Manager of any needs.
  • Organize and maintain storage areas for equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure all maintenance and grounds equipment is kept in good condition.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations to minimize accidents and protect residents and team members.
  • Conduct seasonal maintenance checks and services as necessary.
  • Be available for on-call duties as required.
  • Assist in refurbishing community-owned homes.
  • Manage repairs and maintenance of community water and sewer systems.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills are essential.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and insurability under company policy.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, appliance repair, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • Possession of personal tools may be required.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including bending, stretching, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Capability to operate maintenance equipment effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work with various chemical compounds safely.
