Key Responsibilities

  • Operate high-speed, high-volume floor model inserters and digital production printers, ensuring efficient and accurate production.
  • Set up and program menus on equipment, including printers and inserters, to optimize print quality and efficiency.
  • Release electronic files from print queues over the network and select print streams for multiple machines.
  • Provide maintenance and troubleshooting for various equipment found in an in-plant print shop, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Operate a paper cutter, folder, and 3-hole drill, maintaining a high level of productivity and quality.
  • Maintain attention to detail, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in printing sensitive and confidential materials, such as PHI.

Requirements

  • Experience utilizing software programs, including MS Word, Excel, Adobe, QDIRECT Print Queue Management, Print Shop Mail, Rediprint, and AIMS, for 2D bar code closed-loop technology.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in editing and managing image content, mail merging address files in MS Excel, and adding variable data drops onto sensitive and confidential communications using software such as Print Shop Mail or Rediprint.
  • Ability to diagnose, solve, and correct operating issues on high-speed, high-volume production printers and inserters, working independently during Saturday shifts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, constructively, and tactfully with internal employees at all levels.
  • Strong customer service skills, working with internal customers to review unclear instructions, offer alternatives, and provide specific information on current trends and options available in the print shop to minimize outsourcing.
