Job Summary:

As an Entry Writer, you will be responsible for preparing and compiling documents required by the federal government for the discharge of foreign cargo at domestic ports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the focal point of contact for existing and new customers, ensuring seamless communication and efficient cooperation.
  • Daily arrangement of customs clearance and monitoring of customs brokers' daily procedures and reports.
  • Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet customer-specific requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the Coordinator/Documentation team to ensure accurate system data entry and checking.
  • Prepare invoices, conduct cost checks, and present job status updates to stakeholders.
  • Support the manager in meeting with customers to resolve any misunderstandings or issues.
  • Perform other related tasks assigned by the team leader, ensuring the smooth operation of the team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum years of relevant experience in customs clearance and documentation.
  • A college degree in a related field, such as international trade or logistics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with customs clearances procedures, both import and export.
  • Knowledge of import and export procedures, customs policies, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to learn various computer programs and adapt to new technologies.
