Job Overview

Objective: To expertly finalize and assemble fiberglass reinforced plastic components intended for prestressed concrete applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cut, grind, drill, or shape fiberglass materials as required.
  2. Apply finishing layers of resins or gel coats on fiberglass components, conduct repairs on minor defects, and report any quality issues.
  3. Attach screening, gaskets, or specialized items to fiberglass by means of gluing, laminating, or bolting.
  4. Move completed fiberglass products to designated storage areas.
  5. Conduct daily cleaning and proper disposal of waste materials.
  6. Assist in the loading of fiberglass products for distribution.
  7. Support the organization of stock materials.
  8. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  9. Provide assistance in fiberglass or precast concrete production during peak periods or emergencies.
  10. Help repair existing molds and create new molds as necessary.
  11. Notify the foreman of any fire, safety, or operational hazards.
  12. Contribute to the construction of protective packaging for fiberglass and precast items.
  13. Cut, drill, grind, or shape raw materials as needed for field installations.
  14. Assist with field installations, repairs, or maintenance as required.
  15. Adhere to all fire and safety protocols.
  16. Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

No prior experience is necessary.

Additional Requirements:

Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License.

Capability to operate a forklift.

Work Environment:

Indoor work constitutes 50% of the time, with the remaining 50% outdoors.

Exposure to hazardous materials is present.

Frequent exposure to loud noises and dangerous machinery.

Standard work schedule is five 8-hour days, with potential for overtime.
