Job Summary

Next GenHealth Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team in a full-time capacity. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respiratory Care Delivery: Perform all basic modalities of respiratory care as prescribed by physicians and/or licensed independent practitioners in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.
  • Ventilator Management: Apply and manage mechanical ventilators in collaboration with physicians and/or licensed independent practitioners, recommending adjustments to improve clinical condition, patient comfort, and to expedite the weaning process.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assemble, disassemble, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, clean, and perform adjustments in the applications of durable medical equipment and circuitry used in the delivery of respiratory care as prescribed in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.
  • Pulmonary and Cardiology Diagnostic Testing: Perform pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing as prescribed in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.
  • Patient Assessment and Evaluation: Perform patient assessments and evaluate patient response to care provided, making recommendations to physicians regarding the plan of care, appropriate use of respiratory therapy, and modification of therapy as clinical condition changes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with resource staff in formulating care plans, recommendations for change in therapy, and identification/resolution of problems.
  • Departmental Workflow: Monitor daily workflow of departmental processes and work assigned shifts in areas of oversight.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year minimum acute care setting experience required (ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, Critical care unit).
  • Licensure: FL State Respiratory License.
  • Certifications: NBRC - RRT/CRT, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS), ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support, NRP - Neonate Resuscitate, PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Work Schedule

Nights (6:30p-7a) with every other weekend rotation.

Compensation

Salary range: 1 year: $24.93, 2-3 years: $27.17, 4-5 years: $28.30, 6-7 years: $29.42, 9-10 years: $30.54, Cap $33.59.
