Responsibilities
As an Orthopaedic Physician Assistant, your responsibilities will include collaborating with attending physicians to diagnose and treat orthopaedic sports medicine injuries and related illnesses in both clinical and surgical settings, performing procedures within the PA scope of practice as directed by the supervising physician, assisting in preoperative evaluation and education, presenting preoperative patients at team meetings, coordinating schedules with operations managers and surgery schedulers, tracking and obtaining radiographic studies and lab work required for preoperative patients, managing prescription medication for practice, performing therapeutic and diagnostic injections of shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee joints, and assisting in data collection and therapeutic treatments for multiple research studies.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university Physician Assistant program accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education, Certification by the National Commission for Certified Physician's Assistants (NCCPA) required, Registered and licensed by the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners, Current DEA number required, and Current certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers required. 2-4 Years experience is preferred, however we are definitely open to well-qualified new graduates.
