Medical Examiner for Veterans Disability Benefits

At MRG Exams, we are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team as a Medical Examiner for Veterans Disability Benefits.
This is a full-time, in-person position that requires reviewing medical records and conducting focused physical exams on United States Veterans. The successful candidate will work closely with the VA to assist in the disability benefits process.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Reviewing medical records electronically through a web portal
- Performing focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran
- Electronically documenting exam findings required by the VA through the web portal
The Medical Examiner DOES NOT make disability determinations; rather, they provide essential information to support the VA's decision-making process.
We are looking for a dedicated professional who is interested in performing Independent Medical Assessments and has strong analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.
The successful candidate must hold a current and unrestricted NP or PA license and be proficient in using a computer. They will work in a clinical setting, following a set schedule during normal business hours, without ever being on call.
We offer a competitive salary of $60+ per hour, guaranteed pay, and comprehensive training and support. Additionally, health insurance options are available, and a computer will be supplied.
