Position Overview:
The Lead Audio Visual Specialist is responsible for overseeing and executing a diverse array of technical tasks related to the installation and upkeep of multimedia equipment within the Business School.

This role may also involve supporting video or multimedia projects initiated by the department.

Key Responsibilities:
This position plays a crucial role in mentoring audio visual student assistants, which includes setting up classroom equipment, diagnosing issues, and recording classes.

Additionally, the specialist is tasked with monitoring and maintaining classroom control systems; familiarity with Extron and/or Crestron systems is advantageous.

The role requires precise management of inventory for consumable and loanable resources through an online platform.

Work Schedule:
Hours may fluctuate based on the academic calendar, typically encompassing weekday evenings and full weekends on alternating weeks.

Qualifications:
• Proficient computer and audio visual skills, including the ability to interpret wiring diagrams
• Eagerness to acquire new skills and technologies to keep pace with advancements
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students
• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while conducting basic tests and troubleshooting
• Capability to lift up to fifty pounds
• A diploma or degree in audio video or technology from a two-year technical institution or community college, or a minimum of five years of experience with AV systems and presentation technologies
• Experience in production is beneficial
• Familiarity with Crestron/Extron video and control systems
• Knowledge of MediaSite is a plus
