About the Role

At Estes Express Lines, we are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Repair Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with heavy-duty equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts. This includes inspecting and diagnosing issues, performing necessary repairs, and testing equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements
  • Diagnose and repair issues with diesel engines, including fuel systems, electrical systems, and cooling systems
  • Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications and industry standards
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and communicate effectively with management and other departments
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in diesel engine repair or a related field
  • Knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel systems, electrical systems, and cooling systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Valid CDL and acceptable MVR required if driving on public roads
  • Familiarity with FMCSA regulations and industry standards
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
