Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Specialist to play a pivotal role in our human resources department. This position is essential in ensuring that our recruitment, training, and employee relations processes are executed seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding (40%):
    • Oversee the complete recruitment process, including sourcing, evaluating, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
    • Build and sustain a robust candidate pipeline through diverse recruitment strategies.
    • Facilitate new hire orientations and onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition.
    • Maintain a positive experience for candidates and new hires throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Training and Development (20%):
    • Work closely with department leaders to assess training requirements and create development programs.
    • Organize and conduct training sessions for both new and existing staff.
    • Measure the effectiveness of training initiatives and suggest enhancements.
  • Payroll and Benefits Management (20%):
    • Accurately process payroll in a timely manner using payroll systems.
    • Ensure adherence to payroll policies, including deductions, taxes, and benefits management.
    • Address employee questions regarding payroll and benefits.
  • Employee Relations and Compliance (20%):
    • Manage employee relations issues and provide support to staff and management on HR policies.
    • Assist with compliance efforts, including maintaining employee records and ensuring legal adherence.
    • Support offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews and managing termination documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in recruitment, with a strong emphasis on candidate pipeline management.
  • At least 2 years of experience in HR generalist roles, with exposure to various HR functions.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems is essential.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of multi-state employment regulations is beneficial.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with employees at all levels.
  • Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail and effective task prioritization.
  • Experience in administering 401K plans is a plus.

This role requires a consistent on-site presence to effectively engage with employees and fulfill responsibilities.
