Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Tech to join our team at Advocate Health. As a Telemetry Tech, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and monitoring cardiac rhythms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain constant surveillance on telemetry monitors and promptly notify Registered Nurses of any changes in patient heart rhythms.
  • Record patient heart rhythms hourly and as changes occur, and run telemetry strips for Registered Nurses based on policy and procedure.
  • Provide daily inventory to maintain the correct number of transmitters and lead wires.
  • Handle confidential information on a regular basis, usually of a medical nature (diagnosis, etc.).
Requirements
  • High School Graduate
  • No experience required; successful completion of telemetry education and competency completion within 6-12 weeks of hire
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, and twist frequently throughout the workday
  • Functional speech, hearing, and vision
Working Conditions

May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
