Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Tech to join our team at Advocate Health. As a Telemetry Tech, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' heart rhythms and providing critical care support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients' heart rhythms on telemetry equipment and identify any abnormalities.
  • Initiate rapid response teams for critical heart rhythm changes.
  • Record patients' heart rhythms hourly and as changes occur.
  • Run telemetry strips for registered nurses based on policy and procedure.
  • Notify nursing staff promptly of any changes in patients' heart rhythms.
  • Provide daily inventory of telemetry equipment and supplies.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • No experience required, but successful completion of telemetry education and competency completion within 6-12 weeks of hire.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
  • Functional speech, hearing, and vision.
  • May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with frequent exposure to patients and medical equipment.
