  • Ensure resident, patient, visitor, self, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
  • Maintain a good attendance record, arriving to work timely and conforming to scheduled work hours
  • Wear appropriate and assigned protective gear, such as an apron, hair net, and mask
  • Ability to follow opening and closing procedures, including work stations
  • Clean and/or pull dishes from the dish room to the dining area
  • Complete daily cleaning according to schedule or supervisor's instructions
  • Assist with any special events as assigned
  • Reset tables to specifications with clean, pressed linen
  • Fold and sort silverware and napkins for the dining room
  • Set up hot buffet, salad bar, desserts, beverages, and service side stations, and take temperatures of food before service; clean appropriately at the end of service
  • Assume other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Previous experience in A la Carte food and beverage service and customer service
  • Food Handlers card required
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • Ability to be patient and gracious with residents
