We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Boiler Operations Specialist to join our team at TerraTherm, Inc. This is a mid-level position that requires the safe operation of boilers and other process equipment on thermal remediation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain boilers and other process equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to identify and repair or replace malfunctioning components.
- Monitor safety equipment and take appropriate action to address any concerns or potential issues.
- Work closely with project management and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve process efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with site managers and lead operators to monitor tasks, schedule maintenance, and provide training to less experienced colleagues.
- Stay up-to-date with current knowledge of safety laws and regulations and ensure full compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance routines, and repairs to equipment and systems.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
- 3-5 years of experience in boiler operation, preferably with a licensed Boiler Operator certification.
- 4-8 years of experience in process equipment operations, mechanical troubleshooting, and/or electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience in the environmental remediation industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with various trades, including drilling, earthwork, concrete, pipefitting, electrical, and hoisting & rigging is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to pass required pre-employment and annual medical surveillance physical examination for clearance to work on hazardous waste sites.
- This is a field position that requires extensive travel, typically 3-5 weeks at a time, to project locations throughout the country on a full-time basis.
