The Engineer will be tasked with performing comprehensive evaluations of control systems and ensuring proficiency in hardware, software, and safety assessments.
About Our Electrical Team:
Our Electrical team is dedicated to providing assurance, testing, inspection, and certification for a diverse range of electrical products, including consumer electronics, medical devices, and industrial equipment. Our skilled professionals are committed to ensuring the quality, safety, and sustainability of electrical products utilized globally.
Primary Duties Include:
- Conducting both on-site and off-site evaluations of products to verify compliance with relevant standards.
- Interpreting national codes and standards for the equipment under test (EUT).
- Reviewing schematics and manufacturing guidelines.
- Identifying necessary testing instruments and equipment.
- Executing established test plans and documenting results.
- Performing a variety of tests, including but not limited to electrical ratings, leakage current, and mechanical hazards.
- Conducting assessments against the IEC 62443 standards.
- Performing compliance audits on IT products and systems to identify potential risks.
- Evaluating third-party security practices to ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Preparing detailed reports on assessment findings, including risk analysis and recommendations.
- Staying updated on IT trends and regulatory requirements.
- Engaging with clients to provide project quotations and requirements.
- Flexibility in work schedule and willingness to travel as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Software Engineering.
- Ability to analyze problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
- Customer-focused and quality-driven mindset.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with international product safety standards such as UL, CSA, and IEC.
