Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our rehabilitation programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physical therapists in treatment planning and conducting evaluation procedures, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient progress.
  • Provide patient care, treatment, and services within the scope of your license, certification, or registration, and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to integrate physical therapy treatment with all aspects of patient care.
  • Participate in conferences, discussions, and exchange of written records with other interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Document patient status and progress according to established internal and external time standards and adherence to reimbursement guidelines.
  • Meet or exceed program productivity expectations, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Support program operations as assigned, contributing to the achievement of strategic objectives and goals.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
  • Licensure with the State of Michigan.
  • Possesses and maintains BLS certification to meet department/program protocol.
