We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at AdvisaCare, a leading provider of home care services. Our mission is to deliver exceptional customer service and personalized care to individuals and their families, maximizing health, safety, and independence in the comfort of their own homes.

In this role, you will work closely with clients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting with the implementation of personalized treatment plans, conducting therapeutic exercises, and providing guidance on proper techniques for mobility and rehabilitation. You will also collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and promote optimal patient outcomes.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at AdvisaCare, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients, their families, and the communities we serve. You will be a leader in our exercise classes through senior community living centers, where you will interact with our clients while promoting physical activity and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by the licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities with clients, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and coordination.
  • Provide guidance and education to clients and their families on proper techniques for exercises, transfers, and ambulation.
  • Assess and document clients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and caregivers, providing support and answering questions.
  • Adhere to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Michigan.
  • CPR certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.
