Key Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations, in accordance with physician orders.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and modify treatment plans, ensuring patient goals are met.
  • Assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and evaluate progress to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in care conferences and meetings to ensure coordination of home health services, as needed.
  • Prepare and submit clinical progress summaries based on patient progress.
  • Provide in-services and education programs for various disciplines, as needed.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, as required.
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited school or program of Occupational Therapy.
  • One year of prior professional Occupational Therapy experience, preferred.
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program, as applicable.
  • Current CPR certification, if applicable.
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray, if applicable.
  • Current Health certificate, per contract or state regulation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Computer proficiency.
