About the Role:

The Dayton Convention Center is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Member to join our facilities maintenance team. As an On-Call Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our 150,000 sq. ft. event facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning and janitorial tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and vacuuming.
  • Empty trash and wastebaskets and transport waste to proper disposal areas.
  • Assist with event set-up, tear-down, and clean-up.
  • Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform routine and repetitive housekeeping tasks without immediate supervision.
  • Understanding and follow simple instructions.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Tolerant to work under adverse outdoor conditions, including extreme heat or cold, and exposure to heavy dust, dirt, and cleaning agent odors.
  • Meet the physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting.
