Job Summary

Williamson Health is seeking a skilled Surgical First Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with surgical team members to coordinate patient care and ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Anticipate and provide equipment and supplies to maintain a sterile field and ensure patient safety.
  • Assist with patient positioning and movement during procedures.
  • Handle and transport medications and solutions safely and in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Return equipment and supplies to their proper place and prepare the OR room for the next case.
  • Demonstrate responsibility for cost containment and document patient charges accurately.
  • Participate in staff development and training, and assist with the orientation of new personnel.
Requirements
  • High school graduate.
  • Previous First Assist experience or one year scrub tech experience.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and function independently.
  • Physical ability to lift and turn patients, with assistance, up to 250 lbs.
