FEMA Registered Nurses are crucial to providing vital medical support during emergencies and disaster response efforts.

About the Role

We seek experienced Registered Nurses to join our team in supporting FEMA personnel at disaster sites near Hickory, NC. As a temporary Full-Time position, you will play a vital role in delivering quality healthcare services to individuals affected by natural disasters, public health crises, and other emergencies.

  • Direct Patient Care: Provide high-quality patient care to FEMA personnel, assessing and prioritizing their medical needs for timely interventions.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals and emergency response teams to coordinate patient care and services.
  • Health Education: Educate individuals and communities on health and safety measures during disaster situations.
  • Austere Environment Support: Assist in setting up and managing medical facilities in disaster-affected areas while adhering to FEMA's policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Certified RN: Completion of an Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited registered nursing program and possession of CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Minimum 2 Years Experience: Recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in emergency response settings.
  • Licensure: Unrestricted state licensure in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, work hours, and deployment locations based on FEMA's needs and task orders.
  • Resilience: Capacity to handle high-stress situations and work effectively in challenging environments.

The estimated annual salary for this Disaster Response Nurse position is $65,000-$95,000 depending on location and qualifications.
